Welcome to Estongar – Where Every Dish Tells a Story
Hello and welcome! I’m Samantha Green, the home cook and food storyteller behind Estongar. Living in the vibrant city of Marrakesh, Morocco, my kitchen is a crossroads of cultures, spices, and inspiration. This blog is my personal corner of the internet where I share the dishes I love and the stories they carry.
My Culinary Journey
My passion for food started thousands of miles away, in a small town in Vermont, USA, where I learned the basics of home cooking beside my mother. Years later, life brought me to Morocco, and here I discovered a whole new world of flavors, colors, and cooking traditions that changed the way I see food forever.
Estongar was born out of that transformation — a space to blend what I’ve learned from my roots with what I’ve discovered abroad. It’s where I document my everyday kitchen experiments and share the joy of cooking with others around the globe.

At Estongar, I believe that cooking is not about perfection — it’s about creativity, connection, and comfort. Whether you're just starting or you've been cooking for years, you’ll find:

My Cooking Philosophy
For me, cooking is a journey — one filled with learning, sharing, and sometimes even failing. I believe in using real ingredients, trusting your taste, and making food that feels like home. Each recipe I post is tested in my kitchen, written with love, and shared with the hope that it brings something meaningful to your table.
