Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup plain yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Blend cottage cheese until smooth. Mix with yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, and salt.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add wet ingredients and stir to form a shaggy dough.
- Knead 5 minutes until soft and slightly tacky. Cover and rest 30 minutes.
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder; set aside.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Divide dough into 6 balls. Roll each into a ¼-inch thick oval.
- Cook one piece at a time until bubbles form and bottom is golden, about 1 minute. Flip, brush with garlic butter, and cook 30–45 seconds more.
- Stack finished garlic naan in a towel to stay warm. Repeat with remaining dough.
Notes
Use full-fat cottage cheese for the softest texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container up to 2 days or freeze up to 2 months. Reheat in a hot skillet for best results.
