Description

Baked, gluten-free protein donuts made with almond flour, vanilla protein powder, and fresh apples. Ready in 30 minutes!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup diced apples (peeled)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, applesauce, honey, and vanilla until smooth, then combine with the dry ingredients.
  4. Gently fold in diced apples, spoon the batter into the donut pan, and bake for 15-18 minutes. Let cool before serving.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
